I'm back from Terminus.

I was technically back late Monday night, but I've been rotating between sleeping and sickness. I started typing this up Tuesday, but this is the first I've been able to sit for any length of time without being violently ill. Ick.

The con was a blast. Met lots of new people and reacquainted myself with old friends. I spent an ungodly amount of money on nothing/everything and left my debit card in the ATM machine. Fun times, man.

The Snarry meet-up was brilliant. About seventy-five people were in attendance. Was extremely well organised. I won a WtP t-shirt in the prize raffle. It's quite spiffy, but my nipple rings show through white cotton liek whoa.

Not only did I buy Slytherin swag in the dealer's room, I acquired enough button swag to rival my Duran Duran collection :P

dementordelta's Snarry pants were awesome. You really have to see them to believe them. Someone's gotta have pictures. *G*

The 'Creepy Malfoys' were an endless source of amusement for me. I'd heard so much about them, but this was the first time I actually saw them in person. Seriously, you can't even buy this sort of twisted entertainment. I smell a future cosplay discussion.

Hopefully, I'll be back full swing in a few days. I have two discussions typed out and ready to post. I'm reachable vial email but mostly out of commission.

I haven't been around much. But for good reasons.

1.) I have been writing like a fiend. A fiend, I tell you. Expect Snape a go-go -- everything from my OTP to Snape/Harry (a romantic letter writing fic and a Severitus fic) to Snape/Salazar. Expect dark Salazar/Godric and a lengthy Harry/Draco, too. Expect...A LOT.

2.) I bought a new bike. A Kawasaki Ninja 650. And basically, you couldn't pry my arse off the seat if you fucking tried. This was my gift to me, dammit. Expect pictures of this soonish. Also, my helmet is pretty with Dragons and says Draco on the back. *G*

It's dark in places, and I know in doing so, I've probably frightened away some folks. But it is what it is. [EWE] Lamp in the Cooling Room [NC-17] by Anon.

Let me start off by saying that 'Lamp' is skillfully crafted. It's thick with atmosphere, and the narration's creepy-brill. I mean, c'mon, how can you not fall under the spell of a precocious child who rhymes with the haunting vibe of Tolkien's Gollum? This might be a recipe for disaster in the wrong hands, but this is so not the case here.

Seriously, I haven't been this enchanted with a fic under 10k in quite some time. And while the ending might not be to everyone's liking, it's dead perfect to the Nth degree.

It's a bit daunting to keep up with fest exchanges at the moment, but whatever you do, make time for this. You won't be disappointed.
